Providing Financial and Mental Wellness resources to
Youth athletes
The Power Forward Foundation offers scholarships to organized basketball programs for boys and girls between grades 3-11 to help improve their mental, emotional and physical health.
Our Mission is to relieve the financial barriers that prevent kids from participating in sports.
We strive to create and foster environments where basketball enhances physical skills, promotes exercise, teaches teamwork, instructs kids on fair play, and boosts self-esteem.
Most importantly, we are dedicated to developing emotionally, socially, and physically healthy adolescents.
As PFF aims to transform youth basketball programs into a more positive experience, we are working with Positive Psychology experts to create an evidence-based resiliency curriculum that equips youth athletes with valuable life skills and improved mental health.
OUR MISSION
Our program implements training for players, parents and coaches to help develop valuable life skills like resilience and grit to make organized sports a more positive experience.
The National Institute of Mental Health estimates a prevalence of anxiety between the ages of 13-18 to be 25%. Sports play a vital role in communities helping kids socialize, learn valuable life lessons and stay physically healthy.
Power Forward Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
